Donate now to support immigrant families impacted by COVID-19.

Although all of us have been affected by the current pandemic, our immigrant communities have been hit harder than most. Approximately 85% of the immigrants CARECEN serves have lost employment since the start of the pandemic, which makes it difficult for them to support themselves and their families. Today, #GivingTuesdayNOW, we've received word that one of our refugee child clients just lost his father, the family’s sole breadwinner, to COVID-19. Unfortunately, stories like these are playing out across Long Island’s immigrant community each day.

CARECEN has been working hard to support the immigrants we serve during these difficult times, to include reorienting many of our services to address their changing, urgent needs. We're proud to share with you that we have partnered with local organizations to provide nearly $10,000 in cash assistance to immigrant families on Long Island.
