The Trump Administration advances its anti-immigrant agenda by issuing a memo that ends the DACA program as we know it!
This decision to destroy the DACA program, via the July 28th DHS memo, puts at risk the lives of the hundreds of thousands of young immigrants who are protected by this program as well as those who are being denied the opportunity to apply. BREAKING NEWS: SCOTUS upholds DACA in 5-4 Decision
Today, June 18th, 2020, in a monumental 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court sided with the 650,000 Dreamers protected by the DACA program, blocking the Trump Administration's attempt to end the federal program that protects immigrant youth.
While this decision will give needed relief for hundreds of thousands of immigrant youth, it is only temporary. We must continue to advocate for a permanent solution for all undocumented immigrants, including our Dreamers.
